About his Gender[edit]

Quina is a male, When you meet him, they refer to him as "he" --FlareNUKE 04:57, 19 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Quina is apparently male, although traditional gender pronouns clearly do not apply to the Qu race, as quina is referred to as "S/he" throughout the game. "His" and "Him" are the only other gender pronouns applied to him, so I would assume s/he was intended to be thought of as male. It is a baseless and ridiculous claim to say that "Quina is genderless." Musha 09:15, 22 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Yet they do that out of confusion, to me it is a she because of the fact that you can equip female only equipment on "s/he" and if you have Zidane with "protect girls" it will protect Quina aswell. Proving that the game at least hints at its gender being female. 11:48, 16 May 2006 (GMT -3)

...Or maybe he doesn't know if it's male or female so he protects him/her as well? Very confusing, and apparantly to Zidane and everyone, too. IF they ever do a remake, they;d do better to find a pretty ambiguous voice actor than apply a new gender, from my view. WNF 1:10 AM May 26th 2006 (GMT -5)

If you think about it if quina is a male then there will be 5 males and 3 females but if quina is a girl it is equalled out into 4 males and 4 females, and also quina is more of a girls name. quina is my favorite character is she/he your favorite?

But there is the rule of 3 female characters in Final Fantasy games. Tifa/Aerith/Yuffie, Quistis/Rinoa/Selphie, Yuna/Rikku/Lulu, and Yuna/Rikku/Paine
