B1 was the designation of the branch terminating (from the south) at Chatelet-Les Halles (from 1977) or Gare du Nord (from 1981). Though the northern branches were nominally part of line B, there was no through working before 1983 due to difference in electrical system. When the two halves of the line became fully integrated, the B1 designation became defunct. (Have put some of this into the article). Vilĉjo 18:19, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
