premiere incident?[edit]

"Holmes, due to scheduling conflicts and the incident at the premiere of Batman Begins, was recently recast with the Rachel role going to Maggie Gyllenhaal." Premiere incident? What premiere incident? I can't find anything about any such incident on the net, unless you're talking about the squirt-gun-disguised-as-microphone thing with Tom (which wasn't a Batman Begins premiere). Either way, a citation would be useful.--MythicFox 14:18, 27 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The incident in question involved Tom and Katie treating the premiere as another photo-op for their relationship (much like the WOTW premiere). Tom even went so far as to start signing Batman Begins posters as if he were in the movie. Needless to say, that might have had a hand in Rachel being recast. --Wolfwood 08:47, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, as well as her schedule for Mad Money, it's pretty obvious that her mostly-negative publicized relationship and marriage to Cruise resulted in Gyllenhaal getting the role. Cruise hogging the premiere by signing posters of a movie he wasn't in and Holmes even going on Letterman and talking about Tom, WotW, instead of Batman and her movie. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 156.34.199.219 (talk) 01:23, 9 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Her Death[edit]

Batman isn't misled by the Joker; he changes his mind after he leaves the police station. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.117.249.244 (talk) 19:59, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He was misled by joker, its pretty clear in the dialog. When Gordon asks Batman who he is going to after he says Rachel, and Gordon says he is going after Dent, if he changed his mind they would've arrived at the same location. 74.92.182.101 (talk) —Preceding undated comment was added at 18:49, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also the adresses. The Joker tells Bruce that Harvey is at 252nd street and she is at Avenue X. Bruce goes to Avenue X and Gordon goes to 252nd street. AND Harvey goes to 252nd street at the ending with Gordon's family and says "This is where she died." The Joker switched the addresses. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rexalex52 (talkcontribs) 15:08, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That death was completely unexpected, if a supporting character (on good side) survives the first movie, they usually survive the whole series. This was completely unexpected and worked really well, because no one was suspecting her to die. Series premiere (remake) (talk) 09:28, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Are we sure that she's actually dead? It seems pretty evident that she did die in TDK, but as far as I remember we never saw her remains. I wouldn't put it past some creative writers and producers to keep her alive. Bradkoch2007 (talk) 16:38, 20 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't there be a spoiler warning about her death????? Aristophanes68 (talk) 03:28, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There are no spoilers warnings in Wikipedia. See WP:Spoiler.Richiekim (talk) 17:22, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Should we put presumed dead seeing as how a body was never found or the fact we never saw the body get blown up. Clana4life55 —Preceding unsigned comment added by 162.83.141.152 (talk) 23:15, 21 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

While it is a comic book world, I wouldn't put it past them to write her back into the next one. That being said, with an explosion of that magnitude, I say we leave her as "dead" until we are proved otherwise. I mean, the explosion blew up most of the building... Newmansan (talk) 14:58, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It's quite possible that she didn't die. No one actually says that she is dead, and only Two-Face thinks this way. The coin apparently is the only thing found in the burned building, there is no body shown. When explosion happens it is quite clear that it happens at a distance, on her right side, and not directly in front of her (where the phone and presumably the detonator is). Right before the explosion she is saying: "there is some.." in the context of the situation it is reasonable that she attempts to reassure panicking Harvey that "there is someone here". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.235.156.24 (talk) 08:19, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yea i agree, i wasn't sure if we should put presumed or not since its uncertain if she really died. But yea leave it at dead until proven otherwise. (talk:Clana4life55) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Clana4life55 (talkcontribs) 20:11, 29 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Is it just me or do yall remember when Harvey got in the car with Maroney and asked where she was and he said Ramirez knows[the bad police]. Or did that have to do with something else? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.162.114.120 (talk) 22:16, 11 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dent asks "Who picked up Rachel?" not where she is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Rexalex52 (talkcontribs) 03:29, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Oh she dead! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.196.93.32 (talk) 01:59, 4 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rachel in The Animated Series[edit]

Wasn't Rachel also in The Animated Series back in the early 90s? --Lekogm (talk) 15:55, 1 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Rachel was created for Batman Begins. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.53.225.41 (talk) 02:47, 3 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

"Rotten" Promo Websites[edit]

My qualm is not with the bias used in promotional websites, only that they are only active for about a month or two before being replaced with a blank "rotten" page. The cited website is down, and i will remove the link, but I'm asking on a much wider scale. A similar thing exists for the Tropic Thunder Promo Sites, and it's kind of annoying (on the time it was written, it too received a "thumbs up" from editors) and external links don't turn red.

Lets start a discussion here. Thanks... —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ipfreely555 (talkcontribs) 09:50, 24 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
