I've started but some of the sentences make little sense or are very confusing. More copy editing required. Victuallers (talk) 16:01, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Can you elaborate on where is the confusion? I know some of it seems incredible, but it seems to have been like this. Paradise Chronicle (talk) 21:48, 10 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

  • ... that the defendants in the Racism-Turanism trials between 1944 and 1947 were absolved because racism wasn't contrary to the Turkish constitution? Source: Umut Uzer, An intellectual History of Turkish Nationalism pp.160-161 / the new court acquitted all the defendants on March 1947 / The Court also referred to the Settlement Law, which differentiated between those belonging to the Turkish race and those who do not belong to the Turkish race. Thus racism was not unconstitutional

  • Starting review:
General: Article is new enough and long enough
Policy: Article is sourced, neutral, and free of copyright problems
Hook: Hook has been verified by provided inline citation
  • Cited: Yes - Offline/paywalled citation accepted in good faith
  • Interesting: Yes
QPQ: Done.

Overall: Article is new enough, long enough and sourced. Qpq has been provided, and Earwig gives low plagiarism. It is very well referenced, unfortunately most sources are not accessible, then AGF. The only hook is cited in the article and interesting. There is no picture. Good to go! Alex2006 (talk) 16:42, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Manifestations?

[edit]

Are "demonstrations" meant? Or "rallies"? Prisoner of Zenda (talk) 01:56, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

changed it. Thanks Paradise Chronicle (talk) 02:54, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Sabahattin Ali

[edit]

Sabahattin Ali is referred to in the intro, but not again. This reference is to a defamation trial — but the trial described is for attempted overthrow of the government. How did a defamation trial morph into a trial about overthrowing the government? What was the outcome of the defamation trial? Maybe expunge reference to the defamation trial? Prisoner of Zenda (talk) 02:03, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

During the second hearing of the defamation trial against Nihal Atsiz manifestations for Nihal Atsiz occurred following which clashes between the attendants of the manifestations and police broke out who subsequently arrested many of the defendants in the Racism-Turanism trial Paradise Chronicle (talk) 02:22, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
After reading the article I guess it is described rather accurate. Some of it seems incredible, but yes, the rallies about a trial caused another trial.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 02:29, 28 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
