He was definitely not born in 1958 - more like 1938 I would think. Also he won the Ruia Gold Cup and that has nothing to do with Shashi Ruia as the page seems to suggest

Avinash Gokhale, Rajesh Dalal

[edit]

If genuine, this India partnership Ramesh Gokhale – D. M. Dalal is wholly or partly confused with or identified as "Avinash Gokhale" and "Rajesh Dalal" in the WBF database (which otherwise hits only a 2006/2010 "R Gokhale"; no other "Dalal").

  • "International record for Avinash Gokhale". World Bridge Federation.
  • "International record for Rajesh Dalal". World Bridge Federation.

There Avinash Gokhale is credited also with 9th/16th and 3rd/4th INDIA open team achievements in the 1984 and 1988 Olympiads, and 9th in the 1991 Bermuda Bowl. If Ramesh Gokhale is correct for 1980, and died in 1988, we need a reliable source. A family member of the India bridge federation should send a correction to WBF. And much the same for partner Dalal.
