Remove non-NPOV sentence

[edit]

Hello. The following sentence was recently added to the article as the last line of the Career section: "Since the collapse of WeWork and associated companies it has been discovered that Rebekah Neumann played a key role in WeWork’s downfall." Many factors played a role in WeWork's downturn, and whether Rebekah Neumann played a 'key role' is far from clear. If you check the context of this statement in the source, you will see that there is no real evidence that this statement is anything but pure speculation, violating Wikipedia's NPOV policy for BLPs. In addition, it's worth noting that the source for this statement is Bustle which is only a marginally reliable source and should not be used for such a contentious statement. Therefore, I hope you agree that it does not belong in this article, and will remove it. Thanks so much, Carlos for Neumann (talk) 12:52, 10 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

You need to include the location of the sentence in your request, so it has been removed from the queue. Quetstar (talk) 07:13, 13 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Apologies for not specifying the exact location of the sentence to remove as stated above. The sentence is the last line of the Career section. I added this to the original request for clarity. I also re-opened the edit request. Thanks so much. Carlos for Neumann (talk) 10:54, 14 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Do you have any sources which contradict the one we use? It doesn't seem to be a contentious statement, it would appear to match the conclusions in Rothstein's film about the subject as well as other coverage. If the source is an issue we can change it to Vanity Fair "HOW BILLIONAIRE REBEKAH NEUMANN PUT THE WOO-WOO IN WEWORK" [1] which is significantly less complementary of the subject but is rated as generally reliable.  Not done: I have determined that the sentence is adequate. Also, the sourcing has been balanced by the addition of the Vanity Fair source. Therefore, this request is declined. Quetstar (talk) 19:01, 15 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
