[edit]Hale's dates of service in the 39th Congress are incorrect. I'm looking right now at a speech he delivered on the floor of the House on Feb. 27, 1866 (Cong. Globe, 39th Congress, 1st Session, p. 1064). The speech concerns the 14th Amendment, which he participated in debating and which passed Congress in June 1866. I suspect his start date is off by a year, but I can't find confirmation.Charodon (talk) 01:01, 26 October 2009 (UTC)
