Untitled[edit]

FYI, the undo that was just done to this page took it back to a version that makes no sense. In the first reference to Lori Werner/Lori Elle (they are the same person, "Lori Elle" was a stage name she danced under, which she has since abandoned), she's referred to by her birth name, Lori Werner. Later, there's a reference to just "Elle", with no explanation in-between as to who "Elle" is. That's why I had made the correction I had made in the first place, to correct "Elle" to "Werner", and also to include the fact about her stage name in the event someone might be confused. FYI, there's another point in the article where Lori is referred to as "Werner" on second reference. Personally, I don't care if the article refers to Lori by her real name or by her stage name. And since this article isn't about Lori per se, I can understand not wanting to include anything about her stage name. But the subsequent references should be consistent (either "Elle" or "Werner") and should be consistent with whichever name is used for the first reference. I don't see why it matters what her real name was for purposes of this article. If her stage name is what she performed under, that's the relevant name here. I'm going to switch it all back to Elle. Postdlf 19:02, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Robia's Middle Name[edit]

FYI, some sites erroneously include two middle names for Robia (the second being "Cassandra"), but she only has the one (Brett). I've been friends with the lady for five years now; thus my source for this information is Robia LaMorte herself. Please don't change her name from "Robia Brett LaMorte"; any source you cite is incorrect. Nolefan32 02:47, 10 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You may be correct, but your claim to know LaMorte fails WP:Verifiabilty and WP:Reliable sources guidelines. Searching for Robia Brett LaMorte in Gbooks gives two significant results, the first is copied from this article, and the second gives her name as Robia Brett Cassandra LaMorte. It's a reliable source, so it meets WP:V. Why does this Cassandra info appear in reliable sources if it's incorrect? Markfury3000 (talk) 16:30, 2 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I question your "reliable sources". The one book you list from Gbooks uses a bio structure similar to what was on IMDB's page for quite a while, and IMDB is a source that Wikipedia frequently calls unreliable because it can be edited similar to Wikipedia. But I also challenge you to have done your search in reverse, for entries without "Cassandra" - you'd have found three books to just your one that point to it not being accurate, all of which calls in to question just how reliable the source you listed is. Also doing a quick Google search of the Internet finds considerably more sources showing her full name to not include "Cassandra" than do with (and the ones that do list it repeat other wording from this article or from IMDb. But there's really an easy way to put the debate to rest - ask Robia herself. Her official website is listed on this page, and on her official website is her e-mail address (which is Robia@robiaministries.com, to save you a step). It's really her that responds, and she frequently does. Nolefan32 (talk) 23:24, 5 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
By Wikipedia standards the source I added would certainly be considered a reliable one. The sources that don't mention Cassandra as part her name could just have less information than the source I provided. I will take your word for it though and leave it as it is. I wonder where the Cassandra comes from? Markfury3000 (talk) 17:42, 27 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Name[edit]

Robia now goes by her married name, Robia Scott, and with her appearance in Unplanned, is doing so professionally. Her imdb page reflects this now. I suggest someone more adept then I should update the title of the page to say Robia Scott, and set up a redirect for Robia LaMorte (and probably for Robia La Morte if it doesn't already exist).
