Oiler Running Backs

[edit]

Ronnie Coleman played on with Houston even after Earl Campbell was drafted.. his versatility out of the backfield to catch and to draw attention in the center definitely opened up the Deep Ball bomb to #00 when #34 couldn't get 10yds in 2 carries the Oilers could insert #47 to either carry it or pass to him out of the backfield. Which was very useful bc Earl Campbell had hands of stone many of the days analyst would write if they needed to create a deficiency in #34's game skills. Earl was not a good option to pass to. He was strictly a power running back who was as difficult to stop as any back to play. Mr.Irrigation (talk) 01:18, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
