date of emancipation[edit]

Jerome Blum, End of the old Order in Rural Europe, p 390 gives 1864, referring to land distribution. My guess it was done in steps and the earlier dates involves binding to the land or something else. Benjamin Trovato (talk) 05:19, 7 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
