Contoversies section
[edit]I think it might be time to seriously trim or remove the "Controversies" section unless some sources supporting the relevant content can be found. The last sentence is the only one supported by a citation to a reliable source and the section likely going to be continued subject to POV edits by WP:SPA IP accounts unless proper citations are added. I reverted some IP edits back to the status quo version per WP:STATUSQUO prior to the article being protected. However, the IPs will likely be back now that the page protection is off. I've Googled for better source both in English and Japanese and all I've been able to find are ESL forums, job announcements, union page's, etc. which are not really much help. The one Japan Times article I could find is already be cited in the article, but there's not a lot more that can be taken from that since it doesn't include any comments from Shanes to balance out what the two teachers have claimed. If any experienced editors are watching this page, please feel free to comment.
For those new editors who may not be too familiar with how Wikipedia works, please take a look at Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines and remember the goal of an article talk page discussion is to figure out ways to improve an article in accordance with relevant policies and guidelines by reflecting information found in independent reliable sources in a neutral way. The purpose of the article is neither to promote Shanes, nor is it to right some great wrong. -- Marchjuly (talk) 11:05, 20 April 2017 (UTC)
