Oil Production Request[edit]

I haven't got much information about the oil production and such for the community. If anyone wants to write up a history for it, or for any other part of the history of the community you think I missed, please do.

I will be doing some cosmetic changes and adding photos within a few weeks.

Lance[edit]

Why is Lance Listed? "Local man" is hardly something fameous. I will mark it for deletion in one week if no valid reason is given within that time. User:Nels Nielson 15 May 2006

Jebus Spangleban[edit]

This looks like a joke. I have never heard of this person. A person posted Jebus Spangleban A famous priest who went on to be a billion aire. Unless someone can confirm this is legit, I will remove it. We have had a lot of vandelism lately with people adding childish names of people to the page and I suspect this is some as well. I am returning Hayley Wickenheiser to the Shaunavon famous persons that ScottFritz-DM deleted
reasons:

1) Although it is true she was not born in Shaunavon, she considers it to be her home town and returns frequently. Whenever anyone has asked her hometown she tells them it is Shaunavon. Even her personal website mentions this.
2) I met her in kindergarten and she remained in our class in Shaunavon until she was in Grade 5. She was 11 when she left. Her father was teaching before we even entered school. That is more then a "short while"

Needs cleanup[edit]

This article is riddled with non-neutral language all over the place. It reads more like a tourism piece, and it needs major rewrites. --Drm310 (talk) 02:05, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Trimmed the fat[edit]

I did some cleanup and trimmed a lot of fat, especially in the businesses area. This ain't a directory for local businesses. There was a lot of info that was repeated in different spots. I cleaned up a lot of that too. This article could probably do with a bit more cleaned. As for the history section, lots of great info there but i'm wondering how much of it is relevant for a small town. Seems like that info would be better suited in a broader article about SW Sask.
