Punctuation and Golden Eggs

[edit]

With all due respect to the other contributors to this article, some of your priorities in improving this page seem utterly bizarre. I removed the Golden Egg Routine schtick as it added nothing to the entry and bordered on original research (not to mention vandalism). Bizarrely, my attempts at punctuating the 'Guest Appearances' section has been reverted back to the original edit as a result.

Perhaps users should remember Wikipedia guidelines regarding verifiable information and relevancy rather than assuming that those of us who contribute to these articles in order to improve them are merely stamping on the authors' toes. Absurdtrousers (talk) 11:47, 14 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The Golden Egg Routine you removed was different than the original. I put back the original, as the new one seemed like vandalism. But, removing the original seems like vandalism because it is removing wording from her bio. You can take a look a it now, I put back the original wording. Of course there it should be there as it is part of her bio as what she did before singing. Looking at the past edits nothing except that one edit about the Golden Egg Routine, was utterly bizarre.--Sugarcubez (talk) 00:31, 15 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Fair point. The original edit's fine. I think I only intended to remove the one that followed it. Hope no harm's been done.

  • She was in the band Sonarfly so do not remove it being part of her discography.
  • There are websites that cite Shingai means ‘perseverance’ in the East African Shona language, not Southern. Unless new source can be added, do not change.
  • Do not remove sourced info that goes with the article, such as the Gold Egg Routine.

I removed the Golden Egg routine mention, since none of the sources online which were provided (especially one that was titled as "Co-creator of the Golden Egg routine") mentioned burlesque or any specific routine. Considering that we have had complaints about the accuracy of the statement to OTRS, I have removed what is frankly a minor tidbit in lieu of better sourcing.
