Merge to be done
[edit]On 13 June 2022, Liz closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Shawkat Ali Emon discography with the result of merge, and recommended that any discussion necessary to complete the merger take place here.
In preparation for merging, I converted a general reference in the discography into an inline citation for the only content it supports, added {{citation needed}} and {{unreliable inline}} tags, challenged the verifiability of most of the unsourced remainder, and removed those portions in accordance with our verifiability policy. The original author, Abbasulu, reverted all of those changes without explanation.
@Praxidicae, আফতাবুজ্জামান, and RandomCanadian: as the other participants in the deletion discussion, I invite you to suggest how to move forward, both with this merger and more broadly.
Abbasulu has created 84 articles in the past two months. So far at least 23 have been draftified, merged, redirected, deleted, or are currently leaning delete at AfD. Their record of creating unwanted content, their policy-blind !votes at AfD, and their evident inability to learn from these mistakes, suggests to me that administrator intervention is called for. --Worldbruce (talk) 22:19, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
- I said "redirect" because the list of works is already included (Shawkat_Ali_Emon#Works). My suggestion how to move forward is to only include entries here which are either notable (have an article) or are directly supported by a source. There's not much else (or, to be fair, anything) to merge, a big flashy table would just unduly attract attention unto itself. RandomCanadian (talk / contribs) 22:43, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
- I think the user should stop creating this type of article. Another one! Also this is not good sign when the user selectively remove deletion notices and warning. আফতাবুজ্জামান (talk) 23:00, 14 June 2022 (UTC)
- @Worldbruce given their penchant for not listening to warnings and excessive creations of useless articles, I think we're left with no choice but to go to ANI. As much as I don't feel like doing it, I guess I'll start a thread. PRAXIDICAE🌈 12:39, 15 June 2022 (UTC)
