Blank space
[edit]The blank space that keeps getting thrown in at the top of this article is a formatting nightmare, and is frowned upon by the Wikipedia style guide. User:JarlaxleArtemis mentioned something about it creating a large blank space beneath the spoiler warning without the blank space, but I honestly can't tell what he meant by that.... I moved the second image a little further down on the page, since that seemed like it might help, but I'm still a bit lost. If there is a problem here, then there has got to be a better way of fixing it that the arbitrary blank lines, which, other than defying style guidelines and generally looking messy, also may not fix the problem for all computer configurations at all resolutions. Anyone want to step in and tell me what I'm missing here? – Seancdaug 03:59, May 17, 2005 (UTC)
- You fixed the problem when you moved the image down. There is no longer a large blank space beneath the spoiler warning. But how is a small blank space at the top a "formatting nightmare"? By the way, the browser I use is MSN. → JarlaxleArtemis 01:23, May 18, 2005 (UTC)
- The problem is that it scales very poorly at different resolutions, especially lower resolutions, since it makes approximately half the screen blank. I'm not sure why MSN (which uses Internet Explorer as its base, correct?) would be rendering it differently (though it hardly surprises me, honestly), but I'm glad the problem is fixed now, at least. – Seancdaug 02:38, May 18, 2005 (UTC)
FFX-2 Template
[edit]To the anyone who insists editing the page and removing the template, please do not change the formatting which was set for a reason. All FFX-2 characters feature this template box, and so it is the template that should be modified. Any extreme modifications should be discussed anyway on the template/article talk page. Your justification of changing the page ("Mine is better") is not a fair reason for edit — Cuahl 20:49, 11 July 2005 (UTC)
- Okay. My modification contains more information regarding Shuyin than the previous version. ‡ Jarlaxle 19:19, July 12, 2005 (UTC)
- Yes, it does, and yes (IMO) it is "better." Again, however, change the template, not this page. I'm going to go ahead and make the edit to the template, but there's nothing to stop you from doing so yourself in the future, though, again, such changes should be broached in advance on the appropriate talk page. – Seancdaug 02:18, July 13, 2005 (UTC)
