Romanian MTB action[edit]

No such event reported apart the sources listed that appears to be quite pro-Romanian literature. The article provide no details of the attack nor the name of the alleged ship attacked. There is no trace in English or Russian literature with details of the attack or identity of ship attacked. The only confirmed MTB attack resulting in hit on destroyer in Black Sea was done by Italian craft MTSM-216 against destroyr "Svobodnyi" on 9 June 1942: dud hit, Soviets neither noticed it. Italians wrongly mistaken the ship as leader flottilla "Tashkent". — Preceding unsigned comment added by Lupodimare89 (talkcontribs) 14:13, 1 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

"On 20 August, Delfinul fought the only submarine vs submarine engagement of the siege, and of the Black Sea naval war overall." Another mistake, Italian CB class (midget-submarines but used as conventional subs rather than spec.op in harbors)attacked more than one Soviet sub, sinking one. Recent edit[edit]

I've removed the Romanian recognition section, including pictures of the awards:

  • To recognize the long and very costly siege of the city the Romanian authorities awarded the participants with an bronze or silver ODESA bar when they instituted the Crusade Against Communism medal (Cruciada împotriva comunismului) by a Royal Decree in April 1942.[1]

This section is undue, as the articles on sieges normally do not recognise the invading party. If I'm mistaken, please provide examples where similar articles contain such sections. K.e.coffman (talk) 23:24, 12 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Commerations[edit]

Undue section[edit]

The section is undue and I removed it diff. Please discuss on Talk page before reverting (see WP:BRD).

Instead, this may be useful in an article on the Romanian military decorations of WWII. K.e.coffman (talk) 18:23, 1 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Compare with Demyansk Pocket; there's no discussion of the Wehrmacht instituting the Demyansk Shield in that article. K.e.coffman (talk) 22:15, 1 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Maybe that's more a fault in the Demyansk Pocket article. As I've asked, why have just one sides commerations? If military awards should be discussed in an separate article the Russian side should be gone as well. As you wrote earlier that sieges normally do not recognize the invading party but still you have the Russain Commemoration for the Battle of Berlin Medal on the Battle for Berlin article.Metal Gear Rex (talk) 05:29, 2 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I removed both medals; pls see diff. K.e.coffman (talk) 05:34, 2 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
