expansion request and merges
[edit]In compliance with Scouting WikiProject policy on sub-council entities, I propose the expansion of this article, with information added from Scouting_in_California#Santa_Clara_County_Council and the folding in of all camps. Local articles really need to be council level rather than by camp or lodge. Examples of good Council articles include Cradle of Liberty Council and Chester County Council, all others have been or are stubs, and we really are trying to avoid sub-council articles. - The result of this discussion was to merge the two articles here.
Stub article with little room for growth. Gadget850 talk 20:54, 16 June 2013 (UTC)
- Oppose The article should be written to reflect the history and not clutter up the SVMBC article. --evrik (talk) 03:13, 19 June 2013 (UTC)
- Support The MBAC article obviously isn't going to grow. — btphelps (talk to me) (what I've done) 02:53, 3 February 2014 (UTC)
- The article was started in 2004. I redirected it Jan 2013 after the council merger. Evrik restored the article in April 2013 because the CSP was going to be deleted. -- Gadget850 talk 00:32, 4 February 2014 (UTC)
- Support a merger as neither council article meets notability. "Scouting in the Santa Clara Valley" book being the only outside source for Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council and the only outside source for Monterey Bay Area Council is an Angelfire website.
