Performers missing[edit]

Dr Google answers the question "Who sang backing vocals on So Long, Marianne?" with "His backing group included bassist Roscoe Beck and backup singers Jennifer Warnes and Sharon Robinson. He'd work with all three of them for decades to come." It would be nice to mention all of this, suitably sourced, in the article. Chiswick Chap (talk) 20:31, 14 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

That line comes from a review of a 1979 performance. The personnel list on the original 1967 album track, shown here, lists only Nancy Priddy as background singer. Ghmyrtle (talk) 08:56, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Many thanks. The cast would seem to be worth mentioning from that source. Presumably the reviewer was correct also, and there was a different crew on the 1979 performance. That too might be worth mentioning. Chiswick Chap (talk) 09:02, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Now added original musicians to article. Cohen would have performed the song with various backing musicians hundreds of times, so I don't think it's necessary to list all those who performed it with him here. Ghmyrtle (talk) 09:10, 15 October 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Choir[edit]

Were the background vocals provided by a girls' or childrens' choir? That's what it sounds like. They're not credited. O'Dea (talk) 00:42, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
