So what's the difference between soil physics and soil mechanics? Perhaps the articles can reference each other? Samw 04:13, 18 December 2005 (UTC)

The article on Franklin Hiram King calls him "the father of soil physics", which presumably is about right. He certainly should be mentioned in the list of famous soil physicists then. (141.35.26.211 (talk) 08:05, 18 November 2008 (UTC))
