Wikiproject Proposal[edit]

I've proposed a Panic at the Disco Wikiproject here, to see how many people would be interested before starting one. The project would be an effort by a group of Wikipedians to build and improve all Panic at the Disco pages (including members of the band, songs and albums). If you think that you'd be reguarly editing these pages, please put your name down at this page so we can see who would be interested in the project. Thanks in advance- CattleGirl talk | sign! 11:39, 17 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Trivia[edit]

The following trivia is unsourced:

  • He is the youngest member of Panic! at the Disco.
  • He had hit his head with one of his drum sticks during a concert, and it started to bleed. (This is true JazzlineB (talk) 16:24, 22 November 2007 (UTC))[reply]
  • Been friends with Ryan Ross (Panic! At The Disco guitarist) since they were five.
  • He's dating a senior from Illinois
If this material is relevant and appropriate for the article, see Wikipedia:Trivia, then it needs to be sourced.--Bejnar 20:28, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
He really is the youngest member. According to the birthdates, Brendon Urie is second youngest but born 5 months earlier than him. Ryan is 20, turning 21 in 2 months. Jon Walker is 21, turning 22 in 3 months. For the hit his head part, I've seen no proof. They've been friends since they were really young and they said so in many interviews but they've never said specifically 5 years old. Yes, he is dating a senior. Her name is Haley and she's 18 but I'm not sure if she's from Illinois. It would make sense if she was because that's where Spencer's friend, Jon Walker is from so you can imagine how Haley and Spencer met. But, there is no proof. Only pictures. But it doesn't exactly say "Welcome to Illinois, home of Spencer Smith's girlfriend!" on a sign behind her. And she has MySpace. That's all I know so far.

Excuse me, but this is not true. Brent Wilson is the youngest member of Panic!, even though he was kicked out. I heard that he was younger than Smith but he skipped a grade, making him in the same year as Brendon Urie. K-bomb260 18:14, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Haley and Spencer have been dating way before Jon was even in the band. She is from Lewistown IL a small country town but now lives in Vegas with Spencer. They meet at a Nintendo Fusion tour. She was by his merch table and they started talking about the rest is magic! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.214.131.245 (talk) 06:47, 27 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Youngest member...[edit]

He is the youngest member. Brent Wilson was born in July or August of 1987. I'll put that on the article. JazzlineB 18:43, 15 November 2007 (UTC) Actually... I'm sorry. I'm not quite sure. I think Wilson might be younger, but he is a former member. I just want someone to please confirm that JazzlineB (talk) 04:41, 17 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah, Spencer is dating Haley Ahern. She's from Illinois. She's 18 and they met at a concert. AmieUrie 11:19, 22 September 2007 (UTC) why would you put her last name??? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.115.26.39 (talk) 18:43, 24 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why merge?[edit]

The following discussion is closed. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section.

The result was keep separate. -- Debate 21:20, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why should the bio be merged into the general P!atD article? The other bandmembers have their own wiki-articles as well. Narzissistic 23:09, 16 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If there hasn't been any substantial non-trivial third party coverage of this person to expand beyond one or two sentences, that would be one compelling reason for a merge (or more accurately, a redirect). Can't sleep, clown will eat me 07:30, 29 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It's easy to simply delete 90% of an article and then say there isn't any substantial information listed. I think the article should be reverted to it's state before you edited it, and then people can work on improving it. Narzissistic 18:18, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No. Please read WP:BLP. Can't sleep, clown will eat me 20:07, 2 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
It shouldn't be merged. There are sources of information.

Don't merge it. If sources are the trouble, just look. It's not too hard to find information about him. It wouldn't be fair on Spencer if you did merge it. AmieUrie 11:20, 22 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • No one has taken it upon themselves to provide data that indicates that Spencer Smith is independently notable. I have not found any either. "Not fair to him" is not a reason preventing merger. If no one can provide such information with reliable sources, then we should go ahead with the merger. --Bejnar 16:24, 5 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't merge Spencer's page! Spencer is notable. I will do everything i can to stop it from being merged, even if i have to search for things that people want sources for. 121.44.209.144 (talk) 04:23, 1 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Spencer smith is notable[edit]

Spencer Smith has been drumming since he was 12, he's famous, he's a member of a 2x platinum album band, so he is notable. If you delete this article, it will not make sense since all of the other members have articles. 24.18.180.44 18:19, 15 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Who the hell wrote this[edit]

"Spencer is known to "keep the beat all night" if you know what that means."

This is an encyclopedia! It's supposed to tell people what they don't know; not be filled with innuendo and vague unclear language!Gytrash (talk) 01:11, 8 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Actually guys,Dusty says it on the DVD,midway through the concert.just thought i'd clear it up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Nrskatiesmith (talkcontribs) 00:44, 16 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Why do people write so many lies !? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.28.58.244 (talk) 19:25, 19 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Not encyclopedic, but at least I got a laugh[edit]

he and the rest of the band wishes that fans would look past their good-looks and see the true musicians they really are.

what the hell[edit]

uh yeah who wrote that he can keep the beat all night long if u know what i mean . that sounds wrong whom ever wrote that —Preceding unsigned comment added by Xxryanxx94 (talkcontribs) 03:10, 5 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Picture[edit]

This article needs a picture of Spencer Smith. Anyone have one available? —Preceding unsigned comment added by AmazinVenezuelan (talkcontribs) 05:14, 15 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Change (Musician) in name to (Drummer)[edit]

There's a distinct difference and I think most people would agree that Spencer is more of a drummer than a musician. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.19.196.95 (talk) 21:59, 15 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Spencer Smith[edit]

I really want to write the spencer smith page but someone keeps removing what I write and posting a redirect to the Panic! page instead. I followed all guidelines and used proper referencing. I just lack a photo. Can someone tell me what to do so i cant post the proper information without it being removed? Emilime180 (talk) 22:00, 21 January 2011 (UTC)Emilime180[reply]

Separate article not redirect?[edit]

This page, along with Brendon Urie, Ryan Ross, and Jon Walker, was merged with Panic at the Disco in 2008. But all three others have since been re-written as separate pages. I would like a page for Spencer as well - I believe notability can be demonstrated by many articles, interviews and such. He has done projects outside Panic! - he's appeared in Fall Out Boy music videos, and short videos, as well as being featured in drum magazines. Arithilim (talk) 01:09, 5 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Drug Abuse[edit]

Recently Spencer posted on Panic! At The Disco's webpage about his drug abuse spanning the past 4 1/2 years. It would be much appreciated if someone more skilled in adding page content would add the appropriate information (or perhaps I will do so myself at some point) This is the source: http://www.panicatthedisco.com/post/56931913734/a-message-from-spencer Bluekamo457 (talk) 00:09, 3 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

This page should be protected again. Ever since the protection template expired there has been consistent vandalism. Reverting vandalism is just a waste of time for editors who actually take Wikipedia seriously. Bowling is life (talk) 03:49, 8 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]
