trophy description[edit]

I have discarded the "Trophy" description paragraph for now, since it mentioned a "golden globe", which appears to be incorrect. The current incarnation, unveiled in 2010, has golden sticks but no globe on top. The previous version had a crystal or crystal-like globe. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:E35:2E96:BA90:796C:E8FD:13D1:5AEB (talk) 23:35, 24 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

table v list[edit]

Does the table of winners added by an anon user really add anything over the simple list that was there before? Cjrother 04:23, 13 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

table[edit]

Maybe you'd want to write an article 2006 Spengler Cup and link from this page? (add a Category:Spengler Cup also. 70.51.8.97 09:50, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

media[edit]

What countries besides Canada airs this tournament as a national broadcast? 70.51.8.97 09:50, 1 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oxford[edit]

It says that for the first Oxford win the team was made up of Canadians, but they won it in 1925 and 1931 as well, and I wonder if those teams were also all Canadian or if there were some British players as well. 70.49.243.186 13:50, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

images[edit]

A photo of the cup would be nice, and the arena. 70.55.84.33 (talk) 13:30, 31 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Team Canada[edit]

Team Canada is not the Canadian national team but a selection of Canadian players who play in the Swiss national league. --92.104.235.17 (talk) 10:22, 1 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

oldest tournaments[edit]

Second oldest is incorrect. Both the Memorial Cup and Allan Cup are older, and have had teams from outside of Canada, making them international. The Allan Cup dates from 1909 and the Memorial Cup from 1919. Regardless, a statement that a tournament is the XXX oldest, MUST be backed up by a citation of some kind.
