Please remove the redirect to Steemit. Steem needs a separate article. Steem is a blockchain and cryptocurrency whereas Steemit is the first and original app using the Steem blockchain. Currently Steem hosts more than 70 apps besides Steemit. Steem is not Steemit.

That is irrelevant. What is relevant whether or not the article you wish to create passes notability criteria. Please familiarize yourself with WP:GNG, WP:CORPDEPTH, and WP:RS. The last one is particularly needed to what you have written, which is based almost entirely on primary and non-reliable sources. Onel5969 TT me 11:41, 12 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalisation: Steem versus STEEM

[edit]

Which is correct -- or are they different things? The article seems to mix up the two forms. Equinox 00:44, 22 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

In the sub-section "Applications running on Steem (DApps)", I'd like to suggest addendum of a few more prominent Steem DApps on the basis or popularity and functionality.

Not done: Content on Wikipedia should be primarily based on independent reliable sources, not on self-published developer websites, app listings and GitHub sources. I have also removed the promotional namedropping in the current article that violated this basic content guideline. GermanJoe (talk) 09:49, 24 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Justin Sun / Tron takeover?

[edit]

Who wants to edit in commentary on the current dumpsterfire, I mean controversy? I don't feel quite qualified, having only learned about this blockchain yesterday, but it feels interesting and relevant. I'm referring in particular to the move by community members to define witnesses and soft fork, and the move by Sun+some exchanges+the Steem developper to use community stake to counter-define witnesses and softfork. Redirect

[edit]

I think this page should be turned into a redirect page instead of deleting it. Redirect it to Steemit, which is the website that uses Steem.SpidersMilk, Drink Spider Milk, it tastes good. (talk) 21:39, 31 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

@Spidersmilk: feel free to remove the PROD, and you or I can start an AfD and you can suggest the redirection. I don't know if anybody will see your comment here before the PROD timeout. --Ysangkok (talk) 23:49, 31 October 2020 (UTC)[reply]

User:Trappist the monk I tagged you because you were the one who did the speedy deletion edit, so I wanted to keep the original timeline of November 7th. The proposal is to turn it into a redirect and merge with the Steemit article, with a short section on the crypto-currency. SpidersMilk, Drink Spider Milk, it tastes good. Sneaky peaky

[edit]

Not sure why some people want to merge the Steem page to Steemit. Those are completely 2 different things. The only explanation is that this is planned and intended since several people want to diminish the Steem blokchain by portraying it as a Steemit Inc property. AKA, the Steem Blokchain is controlled by the company and the only people who I know are wishing for this are people from the Hive blockchain.

Ysangkok What do you know exactly know about the Steem blockchain to suggest such a thing? are you a witness? a block producer? a devloper? a member of the Steem community? or just someone who wants to pander to Hive? maybe you are just uninformed.

This is clearly a political decision. Either you provide technical reasons for why you want to merge or stop doing sneaky things where people are not looking.

Leave the page as is. — Preceding unsigned comment added by ArabCom (talkcontribs) 18:53, 4 November 2020 (UTC)[reply]
