Yes for a redirect. I have been looking through the list of congressional challengers, and unless they are already notable for other things (e.g. state congress, notable business leader, etc...) they should just redirect to the appropriate district on an elections page. No need for merge or redirect until after the election--which is only 6 days away. Also, there is no need to destroy the page and destroy the work done on it--espcially since it looks like Southerland is going to win the election. The Hill has reported that Southerland as of October 21, 2010, is 12 points ahead of Allen Boyd. This article looks like a keeper. I don't see it as "free campaign advertising". He won the primary election, he's the nominee of a major party, there's a lot of media interest in him as he's likely to win the election.
