Meaning of SUPRE in Esperanto

[edit]

I deleted "Supre meaning Stuff" as this is not true, and replaced with the meaning of Supre. Esperanto for stuff is aĵoj/aferoj. Also the text suggests that the neutral nation Amikejo still exists (within Holland!) AFAIK it only existed for a few years. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Agneau (talkcontribs) 13:54, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I do not believe Supre really means slut, but I find it an interesting insight! -Media clutz (talk) 18:21, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with the speedy deletion. It's a valid article, and it's a stub! Why should it be deleted? I've made it a bit tidier. Jevon 13:22, 21 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Just thought i'd say that its not pronounced Supree, never has been. its Supre, pronounced Supray.

whatever

[edit]

Yep, cool. In its current form it is all good - certainly not a speedy. But when i put the tag on it, there was really no question about it, although maybe i should have used afd instead. Anyway thanks for cleaning it up, it actually has some useful info now. THE KING 12:48, 9 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Theres not a lot else to say. im fine with it.

Due to the nature of the store, the word 'supré' has also become a colloquial adjective. Some use this term to mean a teenybopper (due to its popularity with young teen girls) while others, who consider the clothes sold at these stores to be sluttish, use it as a synonym for "tart". Some trouble-makers have gone to the extent of inventing an urban myth that "Supré" is a French or Dutch word for "slut".

Most teenagers do not fit into these clothes, they are made for skanky beanpoles.

I think it looks better now. If others disagree, feel free to put the tags back. --Scott Davis Talk 03:49, 20 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I disagree with the comment about the T-shirt slogans. Sure, some are a bit tacky (in my opinion) but what is wrong with "I ♥ the OC"? There are also a bunch of really cute t-shirts with slogans like "opinionated"203.109.204.166!leeni247

yes it means slut. you may look it up anywhere and it will say the same thing. supre has clothes that can make young girls look like hookers. fullstop.— Preceding unsigned comment added by 122.106.97.136 (talkcontribs)
