Judges' Comments
[edit]Should this be done for all then?--Cinemaniac86Oy_gevalt. 05:58, 28 April 2008 (UTC)
I definitely don't think so. It's a total eyesore. Lovepopp (talk) 02:43, 30 April 2008 (UTC)
Bottom 2
[edit]Syesha was NOT in the bottom 2 the week of April 30th. I semi protected the page because Cinemaniac, I and others are having to revert "bottom 2" in the table as well as sentences inferring that she was bottom 2 every day...several times a day. Love the anon who literally put words into Ryan's mouth. Oi. --WoohookittyWoohoo! 07:16, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
- What really annoys me about this is that this isn't new. They did the exact same thing last year at bottom 4. They made it sound like bottom 2 was Blake and LaKisha. But Ryan never said it was bottom 2. By the measure of DialIdol, Melinda was the other in the bottom 2. They do this to set up a "shocking upset" because they know it gets attention. And I get tired of the "implied bottom 2". They have been messing with results since season 1. They manipulate it to their advantage. --WoohookittyWoohoo! 07:21, 5 May 2008 (UTC)
Please STOP Changing That She Was in the Bottom 2 in The Top 5
[edit]Like Woohookitty just said, Please PLEASE Don't Put It Down As Bottom 2, and If he didn't announce it, it PROBABLY wasn't The Bottom 2 —Preceding unsigned comment added by RatingsGuy (talk • contribs) 22:24, 7 May 2008 (UTC)
- This also applies to the Top 4 show. Neither time was there a mention of the Bottom 2. If you still feel strongly about it leave a message on here so we can discuss this instead of having a constant edit war. Aspects (talk) 19:27, 9 May 2008 (UTC)
- I reprotected the page. I hate to do that but it's the exact same thing we just went through last week. What particularly irks me are the situations were users are putting words in Ryan's mouth. I rewatch the show several times generally. And he never said "this is our top 2" as some have suggested. He just simply didn't say it. --WoohookittyWoohoo! 04:25, 10 May 2008 (UTC)
Syesha has a new single with BONEY JAMES.
[edit]Syesha has an internet single with Saxophonist Boney James and it's called "Gonna Get it" and please can a new section pertaining to Vocal ability cause in her Studio version's of "I Believe" and "Proud Mary" she hit falsetto notes. i can get references.
>>There is controversy as to whether females have a falsetto, so this cannot be added. Also, we would need a reliable source, other than your ears. :) 75.181.55.48 (talk) 20:02, 22 November 2008 (UTC)
Web Browsers, Date Functions, and Consistency
[edit]I just noticed something. I use Mozilla Firefox as my web browser. Many Wikpedians use it for the additional tools only available through Mozilla Firefox. Other users might be using MS Internet Explorer, Opera, Netscape, or Safari.
Using Mozilla Firefox, apparently, Wikipedia pages ALWAYS display linked dates in the international format (day/month/year) instead of the American format (month/day/year). Until another user posted on my talk page, I never thought this situation to be possible. It's actually quite confusing because the linked dates in the infobox and anywhere else on the main page (especially the lead section) display the international format while the other unlinked dates display the American format.
According to Wikipedia's Manual of Style (dates and numbers), in the event of dispute, we should use the convention of the subject's country. Syesha Mercado is American, so I accept that as an answer. Unfortunately, anyone who uses Mozilla Firefox might find the mishmash of displayed formats throughout the page to be irritating. Some more information on autolinking and what registered and non-registered users will see on their pages can be found here. Thanks, J Readings (talk) 10:52, 20 May 2008 (UTC)
