[edit]I would like to thank user user:Paxsimius for cleaning up the vandalism someone caused by calling "Taos" by the name of "Tacos." However, in so doing he or she also removed mention of the waterway that appears to be the headwaters of the Rio Hondo. So I restored that. Thanks.Hawesinsky 23:15, 1 January 2007 (UTC)
P.S. Last week's powder dump was awesome! Great skiing up there!
Divide article proposal
[edit]I suggest that the entry "Taos Ski Valley" be separated into two articles, one for the village and the second for TSV: the ski resort. While obviously linked, the former article could cover the history of the area and the latter could be restricted to the the ski resort, which richly deserves far more than what we have here! The problem with the construction of this page is it merges information about the resort (comparable to this page) and about the town (with US Census statistics, comparable to this page) into one article. I propose that this should separate to one article about the resort, and one about the town.Paris456 23:51, 17 April 2007 (UTC)
I agree: the article should be separated. An even more apt example is Timberline Lodge and Timberline Lodge ski area. When they were the same article, it was troublesome categorizing the example, and deciding what was relevant and what wasn't. Now one is clearly the work of WikiProject skiing and the other is WikiProject National Historic Landmarks. —EncMstr 02:10, 18 April 2007 (UTC)
Should someone put a spit-apart template on the actual article? Paris456 20:13, 20 April 2007 (UTC)
Instead of a split...
[edit]How about someone makes another page about the Ski Resort, and have both this one and the new page accessible from a disambiguation page? Paris456 00:18, 27 April 2007 (UTC)

Raising split proposal again
[edit]I’m proposing the article be split finally. It doesn’t follow the general pattern of how articles concerning ski resorts with eponymous towns are handled; For example, Breckenridge,_Colorado and Breckenridge_Ski_Resort. This is exactly how I propose the titles of the two articles be written. Even for the Swiss ski resorts which are often municipally run and integral with the town, the two entities usually have separate articles. Antcomp (talk) 12:03, 18 September 2021 (UTC)
