Support. Articles are so closely related on such an esoteric topic, neither are that long, combining them would make a more meaty and interesting article. -- Stbalbach13:42, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. Neither is that short either. The topics are different. We have Spider and arachnophobia, etc. I created this page to replace stupid texts created in taphephobia (I created a number of other similar articles while fending off bullshit from -phob- topics). And the contents are practically don't overlap. Esotericism does not equal to nonnotability. Fear of burial alive is one of phobias that can have a meaningful article, unlike, say, " Gephyrophobia - fear of crossing bridges" and multitudes of others one may find in internet. `'mikkanarxi22:26, 10 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose. I agree with user mikkalai, the subject matter of the two articles are almost entirely unrelated. Esotericism is good grounds for removal of an article, but I don't think that the two merge well under a superheading. What would that heading be? "Psychology of burial"? Many things from the premature burial article wouldn't fit into that heading. And people searching for the psychology of the premature burial phobia would have a tough time finding the superheading "premature burial". <spetz>.216.175.188.9820:20, 18 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Support. There is no serious question that the two subjects are technically distinct but closely related. The question is how the material would best be organized for readers and future editors. More than half of the content of Fear of being buried alive is currently describing premature burial to provide context for the corresponding fear. Merging would remove the redundancy. -- Alan McBeth20:35, 6 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose as per mikkanarxi. I think both articles have potential for significant growth and are already off to a decent start. The two topics might be awkward in a single article too. --Midnightdreary (talk) 05:09, 13 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
