Article title
[edit]There has been no reason provided to move this article away from its actual name. If the company that promoted the show does not capitalize "it", the article about the show should not capitalize "it". GaryColemanFan (talk) 00:48, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
- I have requested a third opinion. There is no point in dragging this out. GaryColemanFan (talk) 00:51, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
- WP:PW never does what the company does. WWE.com capitalizes "Match" in "Steel Cage match," we don't. I can't find a MOS link that says don't capitalize it, except the music one, but I'm sure it's somewhere. 99% of articles capitalize "it." 1% of them are wrong. - This is an actual show, not a match. GaryColemanFan (talk) 00:58, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
- "It" is only capitalized when it is an important word in the name. "It" is not an important word here.--WillC 01:03, 18 January 2009 (UTC)

That's not the point. WWE capitalizing it (which you've yet to prove) doesn't matter, only PW/Wikipedia consensus does. @Will - says who? RandySavageFTW (talk) 01:08, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Third Opinion
[edit]Articles titles come from WP:Naming conventions. In this case, Wikipedia:Naming conventions (television) is the most appropriate. Accordingly: "If the title of the television program is the most common usage of the phrase, let it be the title of the article; for example, The Apprentice or Guiding Light." So, does WWE capitalize the It or not? Based on a Google search [1] of the WWE website, "it" is lower case on all 5 hits. It should remain that way. (EhJJ)TALK 01:48, 18 January 2009 (UTC)
Dark match labeling
[edit]Is it appropriate to label all matches but the main event a dark match? Although only the main event was shown on MTV, the entire show was broadcast on the MSG Network. Expandinglight5 (talk) 19:06, 4 July 2017 (UTC)
