Proposed major edits

[edit]

I intend making significant changes to the current article, introducing more material and in-line citations. My aim is to get this article up to B-class. I expect to take about a week or two to get there: other editors are welcome to make contributions.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 21:47, 1 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've finished my run through and believe I've got it up to B-class.shaidar cuebiyar (talk) 04:11, 5 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Request Edit - I request the following quote be erased, it is biased and incorrect and therefore defamatory "According to Gleeson, Walmsley left because his external commitments interfered with the band's schedules." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 121.44.95.5 (talk) 22:36, 28 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

When where did they form? Date or place wrong?

[edit]

The article says that "Dave Gleeson and Grant Walmsley met at St Francis Xavier's College, Hamilton, in 1981". However, the wikipedia article for St Francis Xavier's College, Hamilton says the school was founded in 1985. This is the same date on the school's website.

So, maybe, they met somewhere else (there's a different catholic school in neighbouring Adamstown which was founded in 1959), or met in 85 or later (but given their ages, this seems unlikely unless they repeated school multiple times). It looks possible that they might have attended St Francis Xavier's College just for year 11/12.

Unfortunately, the link to the citation for "Dave Gleeson and Grant Walmsley met at St Francis Xavier's College, Hamilton, in 1981" is broken.
