Lúcas[edit]

Could you check your sources for the spelling Lúcas? In modern Spanish, it is Lucas and I don't remember seeing it otherwise. --Error (talk) 19:11, 30 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It is "Lúcas" in Prelude to Rebellion: Diego de Rebolledo vs. Lúcas Menéndez in Mid-17th Century Spanish Florida, but not in other sources. Many sources, however, haphazardly anglicize, such as "Thomas" or even "Thomás" for "Tomás". It's worth discussing, in my opinion. -- Donald Albury 14:06, 7 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I think that Thomás could be an old spelling, but I am not sure.
Since Lúcas is in the sources, I will not touch it but I won't complain if somebody changes it.
Thanks for checking. --Error (talk) 01:14, 8 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
