• Issue with these hooks is that they seem to presume the reader knows who Ocalan is. Perhaps consider something along the lines of the following:
• ALT4 ... that the 1999 trial of Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the militant Kurdistan Workers' Party, was ruled to be unfair by the European Court of Human Rights?
• ALT5 ... that Turkey built a courtroom on Imralı island for the 1999 trial of Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the militant Kurdistan Workers' Party?

I am still new in the DYK process. I have now just made my first review with a √ at the end. I left the creator of the article to choose one of the hooks, though. I don't know yet if this is really also the choice of the reviewer. I have done another DYK also but this one did not end with a √ yet. In this DYK, I'd agree with both ALT4 or ALT5, you choose. There are enough sources for both of the hooks in the article.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 15:13, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
