Issue with these hooks is that they seem to presume the reader knows who Ocalan is. Perhaps consider something along the lines of the following:
ALT4 ... that the 1999 trial of Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the militant Kurdistan Workers' Party, was ruled to be unfair by the European Court of Human Rights?
ALT5 ... that Turkey built a courtroom on Imralı island for the 1999 trial of Abdullah Öcalan, the leader of the militant Kurdistan Workers' Party?

I am still new in the DYK process. I have now just made my first review with a √ at the end. I left the creator of the article to choose one of the hooks, though. I don't know yet if this is really also the choice of the reviewer. I have done another DYK also but this one did not end with a √ yet. In this DYK, I'd agree with both ALT4 or ALT5, you choose. There are enough sources for both of the hooks in the article.Paradise Chronicle (talk) 15:13, 1 June 2021 (UTC)
