Use of Tunny in lead sentence
[edit]Per Wiktionary, which we link to, the term is "dated", out of common use. As such, I propose removing it from the lead sentence, and just keeping it in the etymology section. The other option would be to just have a note re tunny in the lead. Does anyone object to this? Asked another way, does anyone still say 'tunny'? ‡ Єl Cid of Valencia talk 18:01, 10 March 2021 (UTC)
Yesterdays IUCN red list update
[edit]The table in the "true species" section has not yet been updated accordingly and since the article is semi-protected, I cannot edit it.

And this is the relevant paragraph:
"The Atlantic bluefin tuna (Thunnus thynnus) moved from Endangered to Least Concern while the Southern bluefin tuna (Thunnus maccoyii) moved from Critically Endangered to Endangered. The albacore (Thunnus alalunga) and yellowfin tunas (Thunnus albacares) both moved from Near Threatened to Least Concern."
