Another editor drew my attention to an IP who is adding a number of places in Tweed Shire into the Category:Suburbs of Tweed Heads, New South Wales, questioning if some of them really were suburbs of Tweed Heads. Now, I don't claim to be any expert on Tweed Heads and what is/isn't a suburb of it, so I wandered over to the Geographical Names Board of NSW to see what they had to say about the suburbs of Tweed Heads. It seems that within Tweed Shire, there are two towns (Tweed Heads and Murwillumah), no suburbs at all, and everything else is a locality. So, officially, it would appear there are no suburbs in Tweed Heads and hence no need for Category:Suburbs of Tweed Heads, New South Wales. Would it make sense to ditch this category and replace it with a category for places in Tweed Shire (and thus avoid the question of their town/suburb/locality status)? Not being a regular editor of NSW articles, I am not sure if there's a convention to be followed here. Any thoughts? Kerry (talk) 07:09, 2 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

Orphaned references in Tweed Shire

[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Tweed Shire's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "abs2011pop":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 16:10, 27 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Aboriginal People not mentioned in the history section

[edit]

I would think a mention could be made of Aboriginal people living in the area in the history section. It begins with European history, which looks like unconscious racism. Oh - we didn't think to mention Aboriginal People, as European history is all that comes to mind. 124.171.81.7 (talk) 09:58, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
