WHAT HAPPENS IF THERE IS A VACANCY IN THE HOUSE? <- what does this mean? this article is about a Senate committee, not House; save further response or comment, I recommend this unsigned comment be deleted by 30 June 2009 Jaydlewis (talk) 07:30, 19 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Harry Reid just said on the Senate floor that pursuant to S. Res. 208, Franken's appointment to this committee will not occur until after the HELP committee marks up (passes) the health care reform bill. Until then, Sheldon Whitehose remains as a temporary member. Please do not add Franken until it is official.DCmacnut<>16:24, 7 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
There is no way there can be *8* Republicans in the majority and *10* Democrats in the minority, including 2 who are no longer senators (Harkin and Hagan). Redo. 66.67.32.161 (talk) 18:44, 7 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
