[edit]I'm having a hard time finding decent references for this case, but I'm leaving whatever mentions I find here for posterity:
- 1919 Supplement to United States Compiled Statutes, Annotated. Vol. 2. St. Paul: West Publishing Co. 1920. p. 2339.
- Benedict, Michael Les; Winkler, John F., eds. (2004). The History of Ohio Law. Vol. 1. Ohio University Press. p. 289. ISBN 9780821415467. It looks like there's further discussion of the case on the pages following 289 but they're not available online.
- 672 F. 2d 300 - United States v. Carrier, a footnote mentions that U. S. v. Stickrath is frequently cited as a violation of 18 U.S.C. § 871 and gives the offending quote: "President Wilson ought to be killed. It is a wonder someone has not done it already. If I had an opportunity, I would do it myself."
- Watts v. United States 394 U.S. 705 (1969), same as above
