Merge
I'm against the merge. The EE faculty @BGU has a very distinct part of the Univeristy. A lot more can be written about it.
University faculties do not warrant their own articles. I suggest that all articles are merged in to the main university of Belgrade one Ydam 15:00, 13 June 2006 (UTC)
- That might be the case with university faculties in the West. In Serbia, university faculties operate as largely independent units. They usually have their own, separate, buildings and conduct their own politics. Even classes shared between faculties (such as mathematics, sociology or English) are thaught fully independently. This is also the reason why there is no "Belgrade University of Law" "Novi Sad Technical University" - all the faculties in a city are under one university, and its faculty of (say) law has the role entire university would have in the West (until private universities started forming; I agree that their faculties in general are not notable enough to warrant separate articles). Any faculty of Belgrade University is more notable than any Belgrade highschool.
- In short, if no one disagrees, I'd unmerge the article. Nikola 12:32, 29 March 2007 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Bguni.png
Image:Bguni.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 01:29, 1 June 2007 (UTC)

Things that should be done to improve the article
- The article needs more sources, independent of the school, such as books, newspapers, journals, etc.
- It is missing some standard sections such as campus and student life, see Wikipedia:College and university article guidelines for more details on content and format in general.
- Don't bookend text with images on either side, spread out the images.
--Comparativist1 (talk) 20:05, 7 May 2010 (UTC)
- Please do not provide other links in the "External links" section other than the official website of the university.--Comparativist1 (talk) 20:05, 9 May 2010 (UTC)
The contents of the Belgrade Higher School page were merged into University of Belgrade/Archive 1. For the contribution history and old versions of the redirected page, please see its history; for the discussion at that location, see its talk page. |
Image copyright problem with File:Desanka maksimovic.jpg
The image File:Desanka maksimovic.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
- That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for the use in this article.
- That this article is linked to from the image description page.
