Centralization and chiefdom society clarification
[edit]A passage in the article states:
- The social structure changed from being centralized to a more chiefdom-oriented society.
Indeed, the passage is a little confusing because the concept of centralization in cultural evolution theories developed by archaeologists tends to be associated with the definition of chiefdoms. Less complex societies usually don't have strong evidence of economic or other forms of centralization, etc. Perhaps there is simply a word missing, for example, "...changed from being a less centralized to a more centralized chiefdom-oriented society" (emphasis mine)?
