This page is not unambiguously promotional, because Volkov is a recognised artist recently deceased (please see the material for details of exhibitions, museums exhibiting his works etc.). The text is intended to provide an overview of his biographical details, influences and works. No remuneration or benefit of any kind has been received from any party. An article about this artist already exists on Russian Wikipedia but nothing is available to an English-speaking audience. My motivation for posting is to increase awareness of Central Asian artists of the Cold War period who are under represented on Wikipedia at present. I am, of course, open to rewriting the text in line with Wikipedia policies and best practice if guidance is forthcoming.
