Requested move 6 August 2024
[edit]- The following is a closed discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: moved. There is a consensus to move to What's Up. BarrelProof said they are no more strong of including the question mark, hence giving an uncontested consensus since Necrothesp's support was stressed on the capitalisation. What's up → What's up? – This phrase is naturally a question, so it should be punctuated as a question. — BarrelProof (talk) 20:21, 6 August 2024 (UTC) — Relisting. Bensci54 (talk) 16:25, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- Move to What's Up? Almost all uses are capitalised. -- Necrothesp (talk) 10:47, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- Oppose, per WP:DABNAME: "The simplest form of the term is preferred to those containing punctuation". No objection to moving to What's Up; as noted above, almost all uses are capitalized. 162 etc. (talk) 15:52, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- Relisting comment: We have consensus on capitalizing the "Up". We need consensus on whether to include the ? Bensci54 (talk) 16:25, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
- Although I submitted this RM, at this point I don't feel very strongly about the question mark. It looks like nearly all of the topics are questions, so I would still lean in that direction, but I suppose it might not always be a question. — BarrelProof (talk) 18:52, 14 August 2024 (UTC)
