Spelling

[edit]

I removed the little anecdote about the reason there's only one "n" in the name, mainly because it doesn't make any sense: both n's are obviously still there. Just take a look at the website: two n's. Maybe there was a time when it only had one "n" (must be before my time, because I've been going there for many years) but at present it most definitely has two. • The one in Jersey City only has one "n". That's what that section was talking about. Tim 21:48, April 14, 2007.

Changed the spelling back at the title and added some stuff on the end about the differences of the two. On a side note i've been to both locations and the spelling as well as the food is very different.Lbparker40 (talk) 14:17, 17 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Importance

[edit]

I suggest the importance of this article is raised. A visit to either of these restaurants is a life-changing event. Going to White Manna is more important then getting married, attending your high-school or college graduation, or attending the same for your children. -TehZorroness 00:14, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Additionally, I have eaten their burgers for breakfast on more then one occasion. -TehZorroness 02:39, 22 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Uhm, no. The White Manna in Hackensack is a very small building, the seats are about a foot and a half off the floor, and there is very little space to put your plate to eat. My friend is 6'3", and had to duck to get in the door. He had to stand while he ate, because the seats are ridiculously small. The burgers are the size of White Castle's. If we wanted "WC"s, there's one 2 miles away in Little Ferry. A "life-changing event"? No. The next day, we drove the extra half mile to the Heritage Diner, ate in comfort, spent the same amount and got more food. Alan Zatkow (talk) 11:33, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • Going to White Manna is more important then getting married, attending your high-school or college graduation, or attending the same for your children. If this is true for you, then you must lead a very sheltered life. Or you must be one of the owners. IT'S A BURGER JOINT!!! Nothing more, nothing less. It's next to a no-name gas station and a car rental place. It's across from McDonalds. McD's is cheaper than White Manna. You want a great breakfast? "The Five Star Cafe" on Cedar Lane. Nothing more be said. Alan Zatkow (talk) 11:33, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
    • Comparing The White Manna to White Castle is like comparing a Peter Luger's steak to the Ground Round. TehZorroness is correct. The White Manna in Hackensack is one of the greatest things about North Jersey and the best fast food burger I've ever had. Now, I'm starving. Tim Feb. 3, 2009 14:16 UTC.
