Chief exec
[edit]I've added a section on the Chief Exec. Does anyone have a list of former chief officers, their titles and years of service? See Royal Society for the Protection of Birds for an example. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 20:48, 30 December 2012 (UTC)
Edits by an employee of the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust
[edit]@WWT ContentManager: If you want to rename the article,[1] you should make a move request using the process at WP:RM#CM. You should explain why you want to move the page in the move request; please make it clear in the move request that you are an employee. The Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust does not own the Wikipedia article on itself.
If you want to propose other changes to the article, the best way is to use the {{edit COI}}
template on this talk page so that other editors can do them (or not).-- Toddy1 (talk) 10:40, 21 September 2023 (UTC)
Recent changes (21 September 2023)
[edit]@KakapoJo: Please could you review and rephrase your recent edit; it suffers excessively from presentism.[2]
- The old version said that it started out as the "Severn Wildfowl Trust" and "this modest beginning developed in time into the formation of the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust". In the new version, it magically jumps into being the WWT.
- The old version talked about the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust's consulting service (business?). Your new version deleted this, because
WWT Consultancy is no longer operational and conservation achievements are more representative of charitable work.
That would be the right thing to do if this article were a paid advertisement for WWT or an article on the organisation's website. But Wikipedia is an encyclopaedia - so activities the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust did in the past are worth mentioning. - The old version said "Although starting out at Slimbridge, the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust now owns or manages nine other reserves in Britain"; your version says "This modest beginning developed over time and WWT now advocates for the protection of wetlands and their wildlife, both in Britain and internationally and owns or manages nine other reserves in Britain." This implies that first reserve no longer exists, which I assume was not intended.
- The article relies excessively on citations to the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust's website. This has been exacerbated by your adding new promotional material based on that website.
- Are you an employee or a director of the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust?
