Opening heading[edit]

I suggest "William Hague (architect)" might be a better title, this one might suggest that he is e.g. the son of the British politician. PatGallacher (talk) 09:14, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Just because someone is an architect does not make him less significant than a politician. William Hague Jr. is credited in all of his many buildings as William Hague Jr. If your politician has kids and they eventually graduate into receiving their own Wiki articles then they may be William Hague Jr (son of the politician), etc., etc. There should be respect built in for historical figures and careers that have stood the test of time.James R (talk)

The British politician William Hague is never ever referred to as "William Hague Jr." (that form is almost completely unknown in the UK) and I can't see anyone looking for the new Foreign Secretary typing "William Hague Jr." into a search engine or Wikipedia's search bar, or otherwise coming across the architect's page when looking for Hague the politician. 84.92.117.93 (talk) 20:39, 20 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Request Move to William Hague Jr. (architect); He is not William Hague, he is William Hague Jr.[edit]

The recent move of William Hague Jr. to William Hague (architect) without meaningful discussion has created a problem for anyone intending to write about the actual William Hague (architect). It places the biography and works of the very famous William Hague Jr. and restates them as the career of William Hague. He was professionally known as William Hague Jr. Several other architects throughout the world have worked throughout their careers keeping the postnomial Jr. with them despite their own fame. Now while they are clearly inferior in Wikipedia importance to any later British politician who shares their name, why does this now mean they replace the careers of individuals whom they were named for.

That is collapsing two issues into one. The British politician has already been the primary meaning for some time. Politicians are not clearly more notable than architects, but Hague has been a senior politician for some time, he now holds a top govt. posts. PatGallacher (talk) 10:16, 30 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
