A fact from Wir geben 'ne Party appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 9 August 2006. The text of the entry was as follows:
Most of the lyrics were chosen so they may sound like English to someone who doesn't pay attention to what they're actually singing. As for the chorus: The way they sing it is acoustically much closer to "We're givin' a party" than to "Wir geben 'ne Party". Back then, I hated that and condemned it as cheating.
