Merge proposal

[edit]

I requested that Yalli (motif) be merged into this article. The other article is shorter and covers the topic in only one of its areas - art. This article covers the subject more thoroughly and offers more information. As it is a transliterated word, there is probably not a 'correct' spelling, and therefore this article should retain its place and title while gaining information from the other. If there is no opposition I will merge the two and provide a redirect from the other article to this one. Andyo2000 (talk) 03:39, 6 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sharabha

[edit]

Sharabha probably needs to be merged with this article. Looks like same thing. Y-barton (talk) 00:03, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sharabha is a different beast in Hinduism. Yali is a lion-faced animal with elephantine proboscis and tusks. Sharabha is a eight-legged beast, with bird and lion parts, and also human parts sometimes.--Redtigerxyz Talk 07:22, 23 October 2014 (UTC)[reply]
