[edit]put to death 15 minutes after the verdict? wow china is really insane.
- No, 15 minutes after the sentence was pronounced. He was found guilty in January 2005. -- Arwel (talk) 23:44, 18 March 2006 (UTC)
- While executing people 15 minutes after sentence would be a bit rapid, it was obvious for over a year what the sentence would be, so it can hardly have come as much of a surprise to him. Arguably the US practice of keeping people hanging around on death row for about 20 years is far more cruel. Back in the days when Britain hanged murderers, the average length of time between conviction and execution was between 6 and 8 weeks. -- Arwel (talk) 00:13, 19 March 2006 (UTC)
- It cannot be that he was executed 15 minutes after the sentence of death was pronounced, as he was apparently "found guilty of the murder in January 2005 and was due to die by firing squad on 14 October 2005", but not executed on the 14th October. He must have been sentenced to death prior to 14 October, and not executed until after that date. So he cannot have been sentenced 15 minutes before execution, but at least some days before the actual execution.101.98.175.68 (talk) 04:30, 1 May 2014 (UTC)
