Abutiu
[edit]Created/expanded by GreatOrangePumpkin (talk), GDK (talk). Nominated by GreatOrangePumpkin (talk) at 15:07, 5 August 2012 (UTC)
- This appears to be a translation of German(?) text that was added in June 2010. Little if any expansion was done. Clarityfiend (talk) 00:17, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
Someone with knowledge in the DYK process should re-review. It clearly meets the criteria. Regards.--Kürbis (✔) 08:02, 7 August 2012 (UTC)
- There is nothing that I can find in the rules that specifically addresses translations from other Wikipedias. The closest match appears to be "a 'new' article ... may not consist of text spun off from a pre-existing article". If there is an understanding otherwise, it should be added to the guidelines. - As I understand it, a translation from another Wikipedia counts as new content. - The Bushranger One ping only 07:24, 8 August 2012 (UTC)
- Good to go. AGF on single offline sourcing; hook sourcing is PDF accessible. The following has been checked in this review:
- QPQ done by (GreatOrangePumpkin)Kürbis on August 5, 2012
- Moved from Kurbis sandbox on August 4, 2012 and has readable prose of 2,557 characters
- Hook is short enough at 55 characters, and referenced at end of sentence
- NPOV, good article on Ancient Egypt
- Duplication Detector run, no copyvio found
- Every paragraph sourced
- Yes translations from other wikis count as new articles.PumpkinSky talk 02:12, 11 August 2012 (UTC)
