The following discussion is an archived discussion of the DYK nomination of the article below. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as this nomination's talk page, the article's talk page or Wikipedia talk:Did you know), unless there is consensus to re-open the discussion at this page. No further edits should be made to this page.

The result was no consensus to promote after two weeks.

  1. The general opinion was that the article's proposed hooks were unsuitable (promotional or uninteresting).
  2. Despite the several weeks the article has been at Template:Did you know nominations, the article still contains a {{citation needed}} tag.
  3. According to history of the article, it was moved from userspace to mainspace on 5 July 2011. It was returned to userspace on 9 September 2011. In the same minute, it was moved back to mainspace.
  • The moves are deceptive, an attempt to game the system.
  • I do not see a five-fold expansion from the 5 July 2011 version.

Based on the sourcing concerns, the article's promotional issues, unsuitability of the hooks, and the age of the article, I am rejecting this nomination. Cunard (talk) 23:09, 28 September 2011 (UTC)

The article hook is far too vague just mentioning "plenty of new features". There's nothing that is remotely "sexy" about any of the hooks, and the article itself couldn't be less interesting. --Ohconfucius ¡digame! 15:16, 23 September 2011 (UTC)

Smarter than what? Is this a fact rather than an opinion?--Pontificalibus (talk) 19:24, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
How about that? This is a fact, not an opinion. -Porch corpter (contribs) 23:12, 12 September 2011 (UTC)
Pontificalibus is right, and I pointed out as much to you on IRC. The hook you have written using the word "smarter" does not make sense - smarter than it's previous version? what makes it smarter? smarter in what way? do you have a source that says it's smarter?
What's more, the hook looks like advertising. I've looked through about a dozen sourced, and read the article a dozen times, and yet I cannot see a single fact that if put on the main page as a hook would not look like advertising. If there's anyone in DYK with more skill than me, I'd appreciate their help, because as it is, I would not pass that hook. WormTT · (talk) 06:33, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

ALT-2 ... that Advanced SystemCare 5 gives a PC user comprehensive PC utilities?
I think that since the source doesn't say that, I've changed things a bit to a possible ALT-3... WormTT · (talk) 09:25, 15 September 2011 (UTC)
