Art Neville
[edit]... that the seventeen year old (pictured) who sang the original "Mardi Gras Mambo" played a big role in defining New Orleans funk?

- Comment: I really don't like the "seventeen year old" versions of the hook, which are simply confusing. If it is an important fact, add it at the back end of ATL2. Maury Markowitz (talk) 15:09, 11 November 2015 (UTC)
- Maury, I see your point. I was trying to make it more hooky (and show longevity). "17-year-old" is not important, we can drop the first 2 hooks and go with ALT2, it is concise and to the point. The image caption can be simple too, for example "Neville in 2012". Bammesk (talk) 02:34, 12 November 2015 (UTC)
- Full review needed now that ALT2 has been settled on for the hook. BlueMoonset (talk) 03:53, 19 November 2015 (UTC)
- This article is a five-fold expansion and is new enough and long enough. The ALT2 hook fact has an inline citation, the image is suitably licensed, the article is neutral and I detected no policy issues in the spot checks I made. Cwmhiraeth (talk) 09:06, 20 November 2015 (UTC)
