El Temblor[edit]

  • ... that El Temblor in Guatemala is the site of a ruined ancient Maya city that has not yet been excavated by archaeologists, but has been badly damaged by looters?

  • New, long, neutral enough. Hook checks out, and Earwig picks up nothing. QPQ done, so good to go. Johnbod (talk) 16:17, 12 April 2017 (UTC)
  • @Prioryman: The source for "has not yet been excavated" was from almost 20 years ago. Is there a more recent reference to make sure that this statement is still true? HaEr48 (talk) 05:21, 20 April 2017 (UTC)
  • It's a very remote and obscure site. There appears to be next to nothing in the literature about it; the cited source seems to be the only published description of it. If it had been excavated by archaeologists, that fact would have been noted somewhere. None of the sources listed in the Maya Worterbuch's entry on the site refer to any archaeological investigations. Prioryman (talk) 16:01, 20 April 2017 (UTC)
